Musalia Mudavadi asks leaders to work together

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has asked the top leaders in the country to work together to foster growth and development.

Mudavadi said the leaders should pool together and create an environment of peace that will give Kenyans an opportunity to grow.

“As leaders and Kenyans we have to work together and create stability so as to move forward,” he said.

The prime cabinet secretary speaking at the Konza Technopolis during the award of charter to the Open University of Kenya reiterated President William Ruto’s commitment for his transformational agenda for the country.

Mudavadi said the president as part of his commitment had directed the disbursement of all pending arrears to the county governments.

“Resources have been disbursed to all the 47 county governments. It has not been easy. There was a backlog that had accumulated for a long period of time but through tough and bold measures we are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

The prime CS noted that technology was one of the pillars of the Kenya Kwanza government and the university will open doors to millions of Kenyans to acquire knowledge.

Speaking at the same venue, Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu said the university, the first of its kind will open a new chapter of access to higher education by leveraging on technology.

“The university will promote access to higher education to many men and women who could otherwise be locked out, “said Machogu.

The CS said through the university learners can now access higher education conveniently and at an affordable cost.

“The university will provide an opportunity for our people and others across the world to nurture and develop their full academic and research potential,” he said.

Machogu further noted that the institution will equip the country’s human capital with the requisite skills and knowledge.

“Human capital is our most important capital and as the Ministry of Education we will continue to offer our support to the university,” added the CS.
