Murang’a soccer team makes history by joining National Super league

A Murang’a soccer team will play in National Super League (NSL) in next season after it emerged top in Zone A of Division One level.

Murang’a Sports Excellence Academy ltd (M-Seal) has made history by being the first soccer team to be elevated to NSL from the county.

The team which was established in 2016 has defied numerous challenges to top division one zone A under Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

The team’s coach Mr. David Maina attributed good performance to support from individuals who have contributed their resources to ensure the team attended all games.
Chege noted that there are many talented players from central region who need to be nurtured and join national teams.

“We have hopes M-seal will sail in NSL and join premier league after next season. What this region is lacking are better playing grounds and we challenge our county governments to work on better stadiums,” added Chege.
