Turkana County Jubilee party gubernatorial candidate John Munyes has conceded defeat.
He conceded defeat at 10.00am with a few polling stations yet to return their ballots.
“I wish to tell the world that I have concedes defeat and congratulate the winner of the gubernatorial seat of Turkana,” Munyes said. Munyes blamed voter bribery for his loss and sabotage by his Azimio colleagues.
Jeremiah Lomurukai of ODM was leading as tallying process continues.
At the same time, the former petroleum and mining cabinet secretary called on the newly elected leadership to prioritize poverty alleviation, water and education sector development.
