Mukongo Primary gets NG-CDF board Funding

The National Government Constituency Development Fund Board (NG-CDF) is set to construct four classrooms and an administration block at Mukongo Primary School in Trans Mara East Sub County.

The construction to cost Sh 7.8million has been funded by the Board through Corporate Social Responsibility Program.

Speaking during handing over of the site to the contractor Katchet Logistics Limited, the area Deputy County Commissioner Buxton Mayabi welcomed the initiative and warned against politicizing of government projects.

“The government is out to ensure that development projects targeted to benefit the people are completed on schedule. We will not tolerate individuals out to make government projects stagnate for selfish gains,” he warned.

The DCC urged the contractor to do quality work and adhere to timelines.

Speaking for the Contractor, Kennedy Ondiek revealed that the construction exercise is set to kick off this week and take four months to be completed and handed over to the school.

Once complete, the structure will have four classrooms and an administration block which will house a staff room, an office for the head teacher and her deputy.
