Fourth Medium Term Plan County dissemination programme launched

The Fourth Medium Term Plan (MTP IV) County dissemination programme has been launched in Kiambu County by Public Service Performance, and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.

The fourth medium-term plan is a crucial initiative succeeding the third MTP 2018–2022 and is to be implemented in the second-last phase of Kenya Vision 2030.

The MTP IV will play a pivotal role in setting the momentum for transitioning to the next long-term development framework beyond 2030.

Speaking at the launch, Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi expressed optimism about the new plan, highlighting its potential to drive significant development milestones within Kiambu County.

He emphasized the importance of joint efforts between national and county governments in achieving the ambitious goals set out in Vision 2030.

On his part, CS Kuria reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that the fourth medium-term plan addresses the unique needs of each county and foster development nationally.

He commended Wamatangi and his administration for their proactive approach and readiness to implement the plan’s directives.

The dissemination program is expected to provide a detailed roadmap for the county’s development agenda under MTP IV, outlining specific projects and initiatives tailored to meet the county’s needs.

MTP IV marks a significant step towards realizing the aspirations of Kenya Vision 2030, reinforcing the collaborative spirit between national and county governments to achieve sustainable development and improved quality of life for all Kenyans.

The National Government Administration Officers are spearheading the coordination efforts in their respective counties, ensuring seamless integration and implementation of the plan’s objectives.

Accompanying the CS were notable officials, including the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Public Service Amos Gathecha and Kiambu County Commissioner, Duncan Darusi.
