Over 20-storey buildings with varied facilities will be built in Khwisero Sub County to transform the educational landscape and offer a good learning environment in schools.
Area MP Christopher Aseka said that through National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF), he will be able to build a 25-storey building by the year 2027.
“Over the past five years (2018–2023), we have made significant strides in transforming the educational landscape in the sub-county,” he said.
The legislature said a number of flagship storey building projects across the sub-county have already been initiated through people-centred participation.
He said eight-storey buildings have been completed and handed over to various secondary schools in the area, while others are ongoing.
The said schools are Ekambuli, Shiongo, Mulwanda, Eshinutsa, Eshibinga, Emwaniro, Khwisero, and Ikomero.
Other ongoing projects in secondary schools include Namasoli, Luanda Dudi, Emwiru, Mundoli, Emalindi and Khwisero girls. Those at the primary level include Ekambuli and Khwisero.
The MP is also expected on Thursday this week to attend a mentorship session for over 1000 students under Khwisero NG-CDF full scholarship programme at Khwisero Girls High School.
The MP spoke Tuesday in his constituency while touring and monitoring various projects in the area under NG-CDF.
The programme is set to guide and advise the students as to how to positively contribute to the community and society at large.
