Education stakeholders in Seme Constituency in Kisumu County are holding a series of meetings to chart the way forward to address the dwindling education standards in the sub county.
Mrs Ruth Wambia the head teacher at Lela Primary School who is also the chair lady of KNUT Kisumu County acknowledge the concerns that have been raised by teachers on the dwindling education standards in the sub county where they noted that the learners in grade 8 are still using materials used by those in grade 1.
Wambia noted that the meeting brings together stakeholders in the education sector to address challenges facing the sector.
Seme MP Dr James Nyikal helped organize the forum in bid to help uplift education standards in the sub county.
“Already we met with the secondary school heads and today we are meeting with the heads of schools and the aim is on uplifting education standards of Seme Constituency that have been dwindling,” said the MP.
