Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Super League (NSL) side, Mombasa Stars unveiled eight new players, Tuesday, in the January transfer window signings.
Mombasa Stars have signed on loan midfielder, Dennis Magige, attacker Alvin Ngoto, and goalkeeper Aleeleya Sheikh from Bandari Football Club.
Others include Felix Omondi of Shimanzi FC, Mbaruku Mohamed of Sokiki FC, Hajj Mohamed of Kiembeni United, Leachie Odhiambo of Vihiga Bullets, and Salim Mohamed of Mvita Young Stars.
Mombasa Stars announced the new signings after the first leg matches. The club aims to finish the league in a better position.
Currently, the team is in the 12th position in the NSL league ranking, with 23 points from 19 games, 19 points behind league leader, Naivas.
The Team Manager, Ken Juma, is optimistic the new acquisitions Will help them to achieve better results.
“We had to strengthen our midfield area, which had issues, but now we are ready for the second leg. We are aiming to finish the league in third or fourth place,” said Juma.

“I believe Magige will be instrumental for our season, he is bringing the much-needed experience. He will help us to achieve our goal,” he said.
Mombasa Stars will face Mombasa Elite in the Mombasa Derby, Saturday, the 17th at KPA Mbaraki Sports Club.
