Migori County registered a 64 percent voter turnout in the just concluded election exercise.
Migori County Returning Officer and Election Manager Mr. Ben Moseti said that 64.9 percent voter turnout represented 304,415 voters who voted from out of a total of 469, 053 registered voters.
Moseti said that the Migori electorate will know today the results of their elected Members of the National Assembly (MP) and Members of the County Assembly (MCAs).
He called upon the Migori residents to exercise patience as the Constituency Returning Officers were finalising their data before declaring the new elected leaders.
The IEBC official also noted that the County Tallying Centre located at Migori Teacher’s Training College will be receiving results from all the eight constituencies tallying centres from 2 to 6 pm. The County tallying centre will declare results for the positions of Woman Representative, Senator and Governor.
He said that IEBC has already shared form 34As scanned and shared on the public portal for public consumption.
The official cautioned the political leaders that only accredited Chief Agents will be allowed at the County tallying centre.
