Homa Bay Town East Member of County Assembly (MCA) Juma Awuor has accused the Covid-19 emergency Committee of bias in the distribution of humanitarian support to vulnerable families in the county.
Mr. Awuor said he was considering withdrawing his monetary contribution of 100,000 shillings to the Committee which was formed by Governor Cyprian Awiti.
Speaking at Majiwa primary school today when he distributed food and non-food items to residents of Majiwa Village in his ward, Mr. Awuor accused the committee of sidelining the vulnerable families in his ward and the entire Homa-Bay town constituency in food distribution drives.
He wants governor Cyprian Awiti to intervene and ensure the Committee which is chaired by Eng. Ken Onditi embraces equitable distribution of support to families whose daily incomes were affected by the pandemic.
