As the world celebrates the International Day for Human Rights, Mandera residents came forward to express the problems they are facing as part of marking the day.
Residents who expressed themselves said they were facing a lot of problems such as lack of employment, corruption and other injustices.
They also called on human rights watch and activists to advocate for restoration of their rights and freedoms including a right to education, a decent living, health care and a right to live free from any form of discrimination.
Human Rights Day advocates for everyone to stand up for their rights and those of others civil, economic, political and cultural rights.
Noor Abdow, a key Human Rights Day advocate in Mandera said the residents who are seeking justice should contact organizations that are in all sub counties.
Mandera Deputy County Commissioner William Kipchirchir who joined the residents in marking the day said government offices are open twenty-four hours and urged the residents to report all kinds of injustices.
