Mandera court orders deportation of Ethiopian aliens

Two Ethiopian aliens arrested for being in Kenya illegally have been released and the Court ordered for their deportation to Ethiopia.

Appearing before Mandera Senior Principal Magistrate, Peter Wasike, the two foreigners Mr Elias Marrow, 20, and Mr Chevelis Shifera accepted the charges of being in the country contrary to section 53(2) of Kenya citizenship and immigration Act 12 of 2011.

They were arrested on May 31 at Banisa town, Banisa Sub-county in Mandera.

According to police records, the two were in Kenya without permit or visa documents and hence they are in the country illegally.
