A 25-year-old man is being held at Bondo police station after he was arrested for allegedly killing his 10-months old step-son for urinating on matrimonial bed.
Jack Omolo, who has been in hiding since last month when he allegedly committed the heinous act, was arrested in Nyang’oma sub-location within Central Sakwa location in Bondo sub-county.
According to Central Sakwa location acting Chief Mr. William Oreme, the man has been escaping police traps for the last one month after he allegedly killed the infant.
Chief Oreme told KNA that Omolo had recently married the woman with the 10 months old infant and it seems he never accepted the baby.
The administrator stated that on the fateful day, the suspect allegedly senselessly kicked the baby left, right and centre leading to his death, then stuffed the body in a bag that he gave to the wife before sending her away.
Mr. Oreme added that the matter that happened secretly was only discovered by the administrators in Western Kenya when the estranged wife reached her paternal home with the body in a bag.
He stated that since then, the man has been in hiding until last night when he was arrested by the police.
While confirming the arrest, Oreme condemned the heinous act stating the young man would be charged with murder once police conclude investigations.
