One person died and three others seriously injured after being involved in a grisly road accident along the Kisii- Kilgoris road Tuesday night.
Ogembo traffic base commander Elvis Kemboi confirmed the accident to KNA saying the accident involved two vehicles and a motorcycle leaving one dead, another’s hand amputated and two others seriously injured.
“The accident which occurred at around 10PM involved a private vehicle, registration N0. KBT421G and a Government vehicle GKA862H. The government vehicle hit a motorcycle and while the driver was speeding to escape the wrath of angry motorbike riders he hit an oncoming private vehicle,” the traffic Commander said.
“The two occupants of a private Toyota premier car were rushed to Lenmek hospital where one of them succumbed while the other’s hand was amputated and is still receiving medication while the driver of the government vehicle and the bodaboda rider are recuperating at Gucha Sub County hospital,” Mr. Kemboi said.
He is urging drivers to be careful and observe traffic rules while using the roads to avoid road carnages.
