A 25 year old man committed suicide at Nyalunya village in Kisumu East Sub County following a domestic dispute with his wife.
In the Wednesday night incident, Stephen Odira committed the act using a waist belt after his wife deserted him.
According to a police report, the body was found dangling from the roof by a family friend who went to check on them. The deceased left behind a suicide note in which he indicated that his action was occasioned by the disagreement with his wife.
He also cautioned anyone who attempts to inherit his wife of dire consequences.
Police recovered assorted tablets from the scene which the deceased is believed to have swallowed.
A neighbour who spoke to the media said the deceased had a strained relationship with the wife as they had persistent fights.
The body was moved to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem.
