A man who allegedly defiled his 6-year old step-daughter was arraigned before a Kisii Law Courts denied the charges
Julius Ogamba denied the charges before Principal magistrate, Mr Ezekiel Obina that on the fateful day he sexually assaulted a minor and asked the court to grant him bail.
However, the prosecutor, Mr James Morande, urged the court to reject the bail plea on grounds that accused was likely to run into hiding again as he reportedly did after committing heinous act.
They also asked the court to deny him bail as he was a security threat to the mother of the minor who had expressed fears of reprisals from the accused for taking the matter to court.
The hearing on the ruling of the bail application will be heard on Monday April 19, 2021 and the suspect was remanded at Kisii GK Prison before the application was determined.
Ogamba was arrested last Sunday in Kongasis, Kiambogo in Nakuru County by detectives from Kisii and Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau where he had gone to hide after the incident.
