Residents at Ogongo, Nyatike Sub County spent the whole of Wednesday with Kenya Wild Service (KWS) security team searching for suspected female leopard on loose which has been terrorizing them for the last six months.
The villagers who are living in fear told the press that the big cat and her three cubs had been spotted severally in different points within the village.
According to a resident, Vincent Okoth, the strayed leopard had on several occasions killed their cows and sheep, a situation he regretted may render them poorer if not addressed.
Another resident, Peninnah Atieno termed the situation as worrying, saying recently she had run for her life after she came face to face with the leopard as she went to fetch water from a nearby stream.
And yesterday KWS Game Rangers from Homa Bay together with the villagers and press team fruitlessly searched for the leopard.
The villagers also requested the Game Rangers to save them from continuous attacks from other wild animals mostly crocodiles and monkeys.
