One person has been confirmed dead after he was struck by lightning in Ndanai Sub-County, Bomet.
Sotik Sub-County Acting Police Commander Alex Shikondi said the accident occurred when Shadrack Siele was sheltering under a tree on Sunday following heavy downpour.
He said the deceased was in company of two children who were rushed to Ndanai Health Centre where they were treated and discharged.
He cautioned area residents against sheltering under trees to avoid such accidents.
The body of the deceased has been moved to Kapkatet Sub-County Hospital Morgue.
