KPSEA rehearsals commence in Kirinyaga County

As candidates prepare for national examinations, proprietors of private schools have exuded confidence that learners were more than ready to undertake the task ahead with promising performance.

Alfred Nyaga, the proprietor of Alber School in Kutus, said the grade six candidates were set and prepared for the KPSEA Exams and had registered over 200 candidates in this year’s exams.

Nyaga also supported the CBC curriculum, saying it has brought new life skills to children, helped them develop self-confidence, and made them more innovative.

He added that this will have a positive impact on the future of these learners.

Nyaga said teachers were well equipped with the relevant skill and the government support with the required syllabus on time, the CBC curriculum was more preferred than the 8-4-4 system of education.

He urged the government to support public schools with the required equipment and resources, saying if well supported, it will be of help to the nation in the future. He is also calling on the government to support the private schools in promoting education.

Additionally, Nyaga has said the majority of private schools are set for grade nine, saying they have started the construction of more classes to accommodate the learners.
