A  39-year-old needy woman from Kisumu county suffering from a kidney ailment has appealed to well-wishers to help her raise Sh.500, 000 to enable her access treatment.

Esther  Anyango Rombo  who hails from Osiri village in Kisumu East sub-county said Doctors at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) broke to her the shattering news that one of her kidneys was extensively damaged and has to be removed in order to bolster her chances of survival.

Anyango further said the medics informed her that the urgently required operation could not be done at the facility but at either Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital or Kenyatta National Hospital.

The mother said the family that only engaged in subsistence farming struggles to get even basic needs, adding there is no way they could afford such colossal amount of money.

“There is no way we can raise that amount of money even if we are given a whole lifetime. My family can barely afford a meal a day so I am simply doomed unless God works a miracle through some kindhearted people,” stressed Anyango as she appealed for help.
