KICOTEC Receives 11,500Metres of fabric for tailoring Administrative Officers’ Uniforms

Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC) yesterday received 11,500 metres of fabric from the Administration Police Training College (APTC) that will be used to sew uniforms for the National Government Administrative Officers (NGAO).
The material, delivered by APTC liaison officer Josphat Koome is the first batch for 2020/2021 Financial year and would produce five thousand sets of uniform. The next batch is expected next month.
KICOTEC has been making uniforms for the Administrative officers following President Kenyatta’s directive during the launch of Huduma Number registration drive in Masii Machakos County last year. It is one of the facilities that are seen as a significant contributor towards the President’s Big Four Agenda.
The President’s manufacturing agenda focusses on job creation through the “Buy Kenya Build Kenya Initiative.”
KICOTEC has so far produced eleven thousand uniforms for the National Government Administrative Officers.
