The national tally of Covid 19 infections reached 781 after 23 more people were found with the disease after 2,100 samples were tested for the highly contagious pandemic.
Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Dr. |Rashid Aman said Nairobi was leading with the most cases of new infections after samples from 11 people turned positive while Mombasa County had five cases which were detected in Mvita.
He told the daily update on the status of the pandemic that Kajiado had three cases while Kiambu and Wajir shred two cases each.
He said all the Kajiado cases were truck drivers while the Kambu one was found in Thika. The two (2) cases in Wajir County were detected in Wajir East Sub-County.
“Kajiado has again today had two cases who are are truck drivers from Namanga Border Point, and one from Ilbisil in Kajiado Central” Dr Rasid said
In terms of disaggregation, the CAS said that there 5 are females and 18 males, with their age ranging between 24 years and 85 years.
“Consistent with the growing number of losses we are making, over the last 24 hours we have lost three patients. Each fatality is a tragedy “, the Dr. Rashid said
