A big number of school leavers aspiring to join Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) in the ongoing recruitment exercise in Busia Sub County were Wednesday locked out for lack of prerequisite certificates.
Speaking to KNA after completion of the exercise at Busia Stadium on Wednesday,Busia County Senior Recruitment Officer Lt. Col. Mohammed Mohammed pointed out that only 25 participants were successful in the documentation process.
He said some of them presented affidavits which led to their disqualification in the exercise that attracted a fair turnout.
“I would advise aspiring recruits not to give up but prepare the relevant documents in advance for future recruitment exercises,” he said.
The official further stated that 10 out of the 25 participants made it to the final medical tests out of which four have been recruited.
“The exercise that attracted more than 100 participants kicked off at 8am with the general process of documentation, preliminary medical and physical tests,” he said.
The team has so far picked two recruits from Budalangi and five others in Samia Sub County.
The recruitment team is scheduled to proceed to Butula and NambaleSub Counties Friday.
