The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) is set to supply medical supplies worth Sh. 137 million to Kakamega county over the weekend.
KEMSA is preparing the order as Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa reiterates commitment to improve health, sanitation and hygiene of residents in the county.
The Governor noted that his focus in the healthcare which is one of his six agenda is to deliver services and not necessarily infrastructure.
“We have prioritized to ensure we deliver services by providing the necessary treatment and drugs with minimal infrastructure,” he added.
He said that the county government will ensure drugs that are supplied are accessible to patients in all hospitals.
