Jubilee gubernatorial candidate in Kajiado, Dr. David Nkedianye, has voted in Kitengela Boarding Primary School Polling Station in Kajiado East Constituency.
Nkedianye who was Kajiado’s former Governor urged the electorate to maintain peace during and after the polls.
Other candidates in the Kajiado gubernatorial race are the incumbent, Joseph ole Lenku, who is vying on an ODM ticket, Katoo-ole-Metito, who is vying on a UDA ticket and Ambrose Nganga, who is vying as an independent candidate.
Earlier on, Katoo ole Metito voted in Iltilal Primary School in Kajiado South while Ambrose Nganga voted in ACK Polling Station in Ngong’, Kajiado North Constituency.
According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Kajiado, has a total of 463, 273 registered voters.
Kajiado North Constituency has the largest number of registered voters in Kajiado County with 135,880 followed by Kajiado East Constituency with 116,336.
Kajiado West Constituency has 75,173, while Kajiado South and Central constituencies have 71,061 and 65,823 registered voters respectively.
So far, the elections in Kajiado County are going on peacefully with no incidents reported.
