Kabondo Kasipul MP Hands Over Fully Renovated Classrooms

The pupils of Nyasore Primary School in Kabondo Kasipul constituency have received fully refurbished classrooms in a programme that aims at improving education in the community.

Funded by Kabondo Kasipul National Government Constituency Development Fund, the programme has seen a number of five schools in the area undergo renovation during the last financial year.

Speaking during commissioning of the new model classrooms Thursday, Kabondo Kasipul Member of Parliament Dr. Eve Obara who implemented the programme said the renovation of the classes has seen an improvement in performance in most schools as well as increased numbers in population.

She said it was their goal to refurbish one school every year per ward saying, “What we do is renovate the entire school and those that are too weak for renovation are reconstructed.”

The MP added, “This is meant to improve education by creating a good learning environment for our learners and this is what this programme intends to achieve.”

Governor Gladys Wanga, who was the Chief Guest commended Obara for her unwavering commitment in improving education.

“This was only made possible by the dedicated efforts of Obara. We congratulate the MP and I want to assure that together, we are committed to making education accessible for all and enhancing learning environments in our schools,” she noted.

The Governor urged the MP to continue with the same spirit citing that had put Kabondo Kasipul on a growth trajectory and its effects will be felt in the coming years proudly adding, “This is a true legacy of a woman in leadership.”

Charles Were, the MP Kasipul constituency who was present at the event also congratulated Dr. Obara for the good work done.
