The Judicial Service commission (JSC) shall hold interviews for shortlisted candidates for the position of High Court Judge which have been rescheduled to run from October 3 to November 3, 2022 at the JSC Office Boardroom, Reinsurance Plaza, Taifa Road, Nairobi.
Secretary to the JSC Anne Amadi explained that on March, 24, 2022 the Judiciary advertised 20 vacancies in the Office of Judge of the High Court of Kenya.
Amadi said that subsequently, on May 4, 2022 the Judiciary published the names of applicants and shortlisted candidates in the mainstream dailies and invited the public to submit any information of interest on the candidates.
“Having reviewed the complaints lodged and responses by the candidates, the JSC resolved that affected candidates be accorded a fair hearing and be given an opportunity to provide better particulars and clarification as required by the law,” she explained.
Further, in fulfillment of the constitutional requirement for public participation in appointment to state offices, Amadi said that the JSC resolved to carry out stakeholder engagement to get the perspective of stakeholders on the recruitment and selection to enrich the process.
