Jericho Health Center receives medical equipment

The Nairobi County’s Jericho Hospital, has received assortment of health equipment donations from three different organisations based in the Country.

The three donors include the Nairobi based Charity Organisation, Anthony Waithaka Foundation, Wazee Pamoja Premier League and the sports gaming firm Sportpesa.

Jericho Health Center received a shot in the arm in the form of medical equipment where Sportpesa through Antony Waithaka Foundation and Wazee Pamoja Premier League constructed an incinerator, Ambulance drive and a footbath for the Hospital that is domiciled within Makadara Constituency in Nairobi.

Speaking during the handover ceremony while trying to veer away from partisan politics, Sportpesa Foundation Asst  Marketing Manager Lola Okulo urged Makadara residents to elect people who will support the Government and Corporates alike, in a bid to let sponsors have a conducive environment to do business and in return support local residents by  initiating such projects.

“We are committed to make a comeback and fully support community-driven projects through a conducive environment of doing business established by visionary leaders you elect,” Lola said.

Makadara Parliamentary Aspirant, Antony Waithaka, through the Anthony Waithaka Foundation, said that the organization will continually support different initiatives in Makadara as well as keep close ties with potential sponsors such as Sportpesa, to support the people through various activities that build and enhance the wellbeing of the community.

He said that the project initiated at the Health Center, will allow the facility to provide better services to residents of Makadara.

“It is good if we have such projects here since our hospital now will offer better services to our people and that is what we all want,” Waithaka said.

Sportpesa also sponsors the Wazee Premier League, which has been running a league of former players who are above 35years of age, with an aim of taking care of their mental issues and keeping them active and busy.

The Wazee Premier League is an active league that has been in existence for over 15 years within the County of Nairobi.
