Other measures taken by the county government to prevent and contain infections, include closure of all learning institutions as directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta and ordering closure of clubs and social joints by 11.00 pm.

The governor ordered hotel owners to provide sanitizers for their customers and maintain high levels of hygiene.
“Miraa market will not be closed for now but I urge those who use it to clean it using hot water before consumption, the county government will provide water and sanitizing equipment at all public places like markets and bus parks,” said Dr. Kuti.
The governor issued a directive for all county employees to work from home, except for those who work in crucial sectors like health and security.
