The Kenya Inter-counties Sports and Cultural Association (KICOSCA) tournament kicks-off on Monday in Kisumu.
The event, which would be marking its 9th edition, brings together teams in various sporting disciplines from the counties across the country, to showcase their talents.
Vihiga Deputy Governor (DG), Wilberforce Kitiezo, says the teams are ready for the challenge and the County Administration will be sponsoring them to participate.
He said this when he met the KICOSCA Organizing Committee which briefed him on the preparedness on Friday.
The DG promised to increase the budget for the games so as to ensure more teams are represented.
The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Sports and Culture, Mulongo Onzere, said the participants are well-prepared and he expects them to post impressive results in the week-long event.
