The Indian Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Santan community in Mombasa led by their head priest Gnanmahodadhi Acharya have called for peace and unity in the country as the festive season kicks off and the new year draws closer.
Speaking during special prayers hosted at Travelers Hotel, Hashu Kaburu a member of the community said the head priest is in Mombasa will conduct the special prayers for the nation to pray for peace, love, and unity.
Kaburu said as a community they are aware of the challenges the country is facing and as such the prayers reminded every citizen to uphold unity.
“The teachings and prayers by the head priest were a reminder that despite our different backgrounds in religion, culture, race and ethnicity, we are one Kenyan family, and we should aim to solidify the bond that holds us as Kenyans,” said Kaburu.
