The incoming Nyamira County Commissioner Erastus Mbui has pledged to work closely with fellow government officials and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of service to the people.
Speaking during a brief handover/ takeover ceremony at the county commissioner’s board room, Mbui assured that he will always be available for consultations, during the daily routine of serving members of the public.
“I’m very grateful for the warm reception you have accorded me. I’m ready to adapt and settle immediately, pick up new ideas and advice from you, so that together as a team we deliver for the people of Nyamira,” said Mbui.
On his part, the outgoing County Commissioner Onesmus Kyatha urged the local departmental heads to give his successor maximum support and make his working environment amiable, just as the way they did for him.
“So long as you are a civil servant, change is inevitable and I advise that you do your work professionally and delink yourselves from politics of the day because this can easily taint your reputation and good record of work, attained in public service over the years,” he averred.
Kyatha now moves to Laikipia County in the same capacity.
