Ijara sub county livestock production officer David Wanyonyi was found dead in his office Saturday afternoon in a suspected suicide case.
The sub county police commander Justine Nyaga said his body was found with a rope tied round his neck
Nyaga said the late Wanyonyi did not leave behind any suicide note, adding that they have already commenced investigations into the matter.
He said a clerk attached to the office who bumped into the body upon visiting the premises reported the incident to the local police station soon after.
The deceased body was ferried to Garissa county referral hospital mortuary for postmortem, since Ijara sub county hospital has no such facility.
Investigations by KNA revealed that the late Wanyonyi looked depressed for sometime before his untimely demise, according to government officials who interacted with him.
