A Molo court was surprised when a man was charged with five counts of defilement.
The charge sheet read in part that the accused, David Karega on diverse dates between September 10 to 19 of this year, at Rigogo village in Rongai sub-county he defiled three minors aged 7, 5 and 4 years old and in addition attempted to defile two others aged 6 and 5 year old girls.
In all the five counts, he is faced with an alternative charge of indecently touching the five minors.
He denied the charges before principal magistrate Rhoda Yator and was granted a bond of Sh. 500,000 with a surety of a similar amount.
The prosecution requested the court to consider fixing a hearing date closer since the victims are of tender age and might forget the facts for the material day.
Yator accepted the application and slated the hearing date for tomorrow.
