Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe today led former Health Ministry officials who worked with the late President Emilio Mwai Kibaki when he was the Minister for Health in the signing of the condolence book at Afya House, Nairobi.
Kagwe said the former President who passed on aged 91 had achieved a lot as the Minister for Health during his tenure in 1988 to 1991.
“Many things that he did will be posted at the ministry’s website and we pray to God to rest his soul in eternal peace,” he said.
The CS also sent a message of condolence to the family, relatives and friends of former President Kibaki who passed away on Thursday night while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
