The Kenya Kwanza government, led by President William Ruto is ready to work with the Nyanza leadership for empowerment of the locals, the cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications and the Digital economy, Eliud Owalo has said.
And CS Owalo called on both elected and non-elected leaders from the region to take advantage of the government’s open policy to help drive the economic agenda of the area.
He was speaking at Nyasanda Primary school grounds in Ugunja constituency when he led a team of government officials to distribute relief food to the vulnerable families.
The CS, who was flanked by among others, Suba south MP, Caroli Omondi, former Rangwe MP, Martin Ogindo and the Ugunja sub county deputy county commissioner, Felix Watakila said the current government was committed to implementing its commitment to Kenyans during the campaigns.
He said that the William Ruto led government had no time for empty rhetoric and will only engage in politics of economic development.
“At the tail end of our term, we would wish that the Kenya Kwanza government is held accountable to deliver the promises that we made ahead of the last general polls” said Owalo.
He directed the national government administration officers to ensure that the relief supplies go to the intended beneficiaries, adding that cases where such humanitarian were diverted will not be tolerated.
