Governor Otuoma supports national development agenda

Busia Governor Paul Otuoma has vowed to support the National Government development agenda.

Speaking at Mungatsi in Nambale Sub County on Monday, Otuoma said that he will ensure all the government initiatives that aim to benefit people have been implemented in the county.

“The county government receives 15 percent of the total revenue from the National Government. We must work together with it to expedite development and benefit from other programs that are initiated.

He asked the leaders to stop politics and work for the people, stating that this is the time to implement the government’s development agenda.

“Campaigns will be in 2027 and therefore leaders who have started early campaigns should stop and focus on what brought them to the respective positions they hold. You were elected to work for your people and so you must deliver,” he said.

The Governor warned the residents against leaders who are spreading hatred among them and other leaders, insisting that for a country or a county to develop, peace and unity must be a priority.
