Governor Ntutu commits to clear pending bills by Christmas

Narok County Governor Patrick Ntutu has pledged to clear Sh200 million in pending bills before Christmas.

Speaking during the opening of a link road in Ikineji, Narok West Sub-County, Governor Ntutu emphasised his administration’s dedication to settling the outstanding debts to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of county projects.

“Our administration inherited Sh1.5 billion in pending bills, and we’ve already cleared a significant portion. The remaining Sh200 million will be settled by Christmas,” Ntutu assured.

He highlighted that clearing the bills would not only boost the confidence of contractors but also ensure that projects are completed without unnecessary delays.

The governor noted that the county has made significant progress in development since he took over, and that residents continue to look forward to further improvements across the county.

Governor Ntutu expressed pride in potentially becoming the first governor to completely clear pending bills.

He called on all contractors whether engaged by the previous administration or the current one, who have completed their projects and are awaiting payment to submit their claims to facilitate timely processing.
