Governor Lonyangapuo calls on Investors to Partner with County

West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo has called on investors to partner with the county to help revitalize the covid-19 hit economy and create more opportunities that will help improve the livelihood of the locals.

Speaking when he flagged off the Boda boda riders who received motorbikes after investing their money to a tune of Sh20,000 with the West Pokot County Economic Sacco (WEPESA), Governor Lonyangapuo said development partners were welcome to invest in West Pokot County in any project that will transform the region.

“We need investors who can increase the social and economic empowerment of our people both in rural and urban areas,” Governor Lonyangapuo said.

The governor urged the residents to save their money with the West Pokot County Economic Sacco (WEPESA) to benefit from loans that have low-interest rates.

The West Pokot County Chief Executive Committee (CEC) in charge of trade, industry, and cooperative development Francis Kitelauyan urged residents to ensure they position themselves for different business opportunities that come with the Government development projects that aim at eradicating poverty, creating employment and uplifting their lives.
