Nandi governor Stephen Sang has called on employees at the County government to step up service delivery to wananchi.
Speaking at Kapsabet town while presiding over the signing of performance contracts between his office and the members of the executive, the county boss said it will not be business as usual.
Sang pointed out that performance contracting will not be a ritual as usual and the employees have to deliver as expected.
“You better deliver or be replaced, there are many applicants yearning for that post,” he stressed.
He also warned accounting officers against approving payments for projects that have not been completed as stated in the BQs since most contractors flee leaving the work half undone.
“We have several stalled projects because the contractors were paid and never completed and others did shoddy work,” he said.
The governor further urged the CECs to ensure key flagship projects stipulated in the County Integrated Development Plan were implemented to the letter.
The projects include establishment of a milk processing plant, Nandi County Textile & Apparel and Eliud Kipchoge residential training camp.
The governor pledged to support the County Executive Committee members and Chief Officers as they strive to accomplish the enlisted projects.
