Over 300 villagers from Petanguo sub location in Kilifi County have written a protest memo to the Ganze deputy county commissioner accusing their assistant chief Mr. Gilbert Kithi of sexually abusing schoolchildren and seducing peoples’ wives.
The 359 residents from eight villages appended their signatures in a booklet annexed to the complaints letter that detailed how their assistant chief has been having extra-marital affairs with the wives of four men.
They also accused the administrator of defiling a primary school pupil whom they claim he opted to marry as a second wife to stop her parents from seeking redress from court.
The offending administrator was also accused of arrogance with claims that he has made a habit of abusing those who go to his office to seek services.
Village elder Arnold Chengo said he was forced to send his wife back to her parents after he learnt that she had committed adultery with the assistant chief whom he assisted in arbitration of village disputes.
“I complained bitterly to Ganze Deputy County Commissioner Mr. Richard Karani over the affair and he promised to take action four years ago. I have not seen any action taken and since then the administrator has instead doubled his arrogance,” Chengo said.
Benedict Chengo Thoya who spoke on behalf of Petanguo residents said the amorous administrator has caused breakups in some families and requested the incoming deputy county commissioner Mr.Peter Chege to handle the matter conclusively.
The memo signed by the residents is copied to Kilifi County Commissioner, Coast regional commissioner and the principal secretary, Ministry of Interior and Co-ordination of national government.
