Four Suspects To Be Charged With Murder

A miscellaneous case involving four murder suspects has been moved to the High Court after Kabarnet law court determined that the suspects had a case to answer.

The four murder suspects Robert Kibet Chemwei, Gideon Kimutai Kangogo, Patrick Kibet Kigen and Maxine Chelangat Kangogo had initially appeared before Kabarnet Resident Magistrate Viennah Amboko facing murder charges.

The charge sheet stated that on April 1, 2021 at Koriema village, Kimalel Location within Baringo County, the accused jointly murdered Christopher Bowen.

The court has ordered that the suspects be taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital to undergo mental assessment before proceeding with the case.

The suspects will take fresh pleas on April 28, this year when the case comes up next.
