Foundation offers Othaya candidates exams equipment

Kenya certificate of secondary school (KCSE) candidates in Othaya constituency received stationaries and equipment for use during the fourth coming exams courtesy of the Wambugu Foundation.

Othaya Member of Parliament Wainaina Wambugu offered the examination tools through the foundation to help them through their examinations starting next month.

Speaking during the Issuance of the equipment at Muna-ini primary school in Othaya town during a meeting with heads of local institutions the legislator said that the move was aimed at ensuring that no student in the area was disadvantaged during the exam period.

The legislator said people should understand that some of the parents had challenge in affording important exam equipment like mathematical tables, calculators, geometrical sets and even pens at such a critical time.

He said it’s for these reasons that the foundation has come up with the idea of buying every needy form 4 student sitting for KCSE the equipment to enable them to do their exams effectively.

‘’ We should understand that some of the parents in our constituency have challenges of affording to buy these important exam equipment, and that’s why Wambugu foundation have come up with this idea’’ said MP.

He called on the leaders in the region not to politicize the initiative as the foundation only intends to ensure education standards in the area remain high. Meanwhile, He also wished the candidates all the best as they start their KCSE exams next month.

School principals present lauded the area MP for the generous move saying it will boost the candidate’s self-esteem.
