Former deputy governor and MP appointed advisors

Former Turkana County Deputy Governor, Peter Ekai and former Loima MP, Protus Akuja have been appointed advisors in the Office of the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum and Mining.

Ekai will serve as advisor to the CS on Local content development, while Akuja will support the Community engagement and Grievance redress efforts in the Ministry.

Ekai was the deputy governor during the first term of Governor Josphat Nanok before they fell out and Ekai ran on a Jubilee ticket as deputy governor with John Munyes as the gubernatorial candidate.

Munyes lost to Nanok and was later named CS for petroleum and mining.

Akuja lost to the current Loima MP, Jeremiah Lomurukai.
