Police in Naivasha are investigating an incident whereby the body of a flower farm worker was found in his house at the sprawling Karagita informal settlement.
Naivasha sub-county police commander Samuel Waweru said the body of the male worker was found by relatives lying in bed at his rented single room yesterday morning.
A neighbour to the deceased Allan Kung’u said it was suspected the deceased in his mid-20s might have died out of poisoning as there was foam around the mouth.
Kung’u further said that the deceased was last seen in one of the bars on the previous evening before his body was discovered, following morning.
The police boss said a post mortem on the body will establish the cause of death even as police commenced investigations.
In another incident, a swimming expedition for a group of minors in a flooded water pan ended tragically after one of them drowned.
The incident which occurred at Kinamba village off the Naivasha-Kirima road, saw two other minors rescued from the scene of accident that was in one of the private farms in the village.
The police commander said the minors from various homes had sneaked into the farm through the fence and were swimming at the shores of the pan when the accident occurred.
A local leader Samuel Ngugi said that the pan had been fenced off and that neighbours were attracted to the scene by screams from the minors where they found the body of the three-year-old floating.
