Police in Rachuonyo East Sub-County have launched a man hunt for a father who reportedly defiled his two-year-old daughter at Kasewe location in Homa Bay County.
The man identified as Steve Omondi is accused of defiling his daughter when his wife, Janet Kemunto was away at their neighbour’s house on Wednesday.
His wife found the child bleeding profusely in her genitals and her husband pleaded with her not to report the incident to the police.
Confirming the incident to KNA, the area Chief, Moses Odhiambo said the accused immediately went underground at night and added investigations were still ongoing.
Odhiambo appealed to members of the public with any information regarding the whereabouts of the accused to avail it in confidence to security agencies to enable apprehension of the culprit.
