Father, daughter arrested over possession of Ksh 700, 000 fake currencies

A father and his daughter in Embu North were Tuesday arrested for being in possession of fake Sh 700, 000.
Mugo Rware, 56, and Josephine Mukami, 25, were arrested at Kamiu village, Embu North Sub County and are being held at Manyatta Police Station as police conduct investigations.
Confirming the arrest, Area OCPD Mark Wanjala, said police were looking for the duo’s accomplices.
Wanjala confirmed that police also recovered an unidentified liquid the suspects used to process the currency that was in Sh. 1000 notes. “Police are also searching for the machine which was being used to make the notes,” he added.
The OCPD noted that the suspects will be arraigned in court later this week after investigations.
