A family from Narok is crying for justice after their son, Brian Mike Kasaine was shot and killed while Anti-tax protestants riot with the police in Narok town last Tuesday.
While speaking, Judy Nyanchama who is the aunty and the guardian to the deceased struggling to come to terms with the loss of their son following Anti-Tax protestants rioting with the police on Tuesday.
Nyanchama claimed that their son wasn’t armed during the protest and said that the deceased was demonstrating like other fellow Kenyans in the streets peacefully.
“The police shoot the protestant while he was not armed, we need justice for Kasaine” added Nyachama
Kelvin Mzee, a brother to Kasaine said his brother joined his fellow Gen Z generation to fight for their rights as enshrined by the Kenyan constitution.
“Kasaine left home early morning, and joint other protestors along Narok town streets and it was peaceful until the time when the Police officers came and starting shooting protestant at evening hours,” said Mzee.
Mzee said his brother got a B+ in his KCSE last year in Nyamira’s Nyakemincha Secondary School and was set to join Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University but according to him a dream set to uplift them has been shattered.
Jane Kwamoka, a relative, is in pain as she narrates, adding that the young men were demonstrating for their rights and they should not deserve to be killed by the armed police officers.
Ramadhan Shahaban called on the human rights commissions to investigate the matter, and those who were found guilty to be charged.
Sayialel Manguyo, an activist in Narok said that they were demonstrating because of police brutality, where he claimed that the police had shot and killed one of their fellow protestants.
