More than ten family members were forced to spend their night in the cold after the roofs of their houses were blown off by strong wind at Riat trading center in South Kanyikela location of Ndhiwa constituency last evening.
The families were rendered homeless after the wind blew off the roofs of their houses following heavy down pour accompanied by wind that hit the region.
Chief Moses Ongong’a, said four houses belonging to ten families and Bethel Church were destroyed together with properties of unknown value inside.
Chief Ongong’a said that no casualty was reported during the incident, adding that they have not yet established the cost of property destroyed.
The administrator further stated that the security officials had to camp at the scene of the incident to secure the properties that ware salvaged by the villagers.
