Falling Waters School confident of winning Chapa Dimba title

The  Falling  Waters Secondary School team which won the Chapa Dimba Edition 3 tournament for Central region has vowed to bring home the national title.

The team netted 12-0 to the shock of Chapa Dimba Edition 1 winners, Limuru Starlets, in the early morning hours on  Sunday at Nanyuki Stadium.

The match set a strong pace for the young lasses who are now clamouring for the national title after bagging in Sh.200, 000 in prize.

Emman Gullit, who is the team coach exuded confidence that the team was taking it home once the nationals set out in June 2020.

“We are adequately prepared and equipped to win this Edition, Last year was a learning experience but we were still able to manage a stable number three,” he said.

The coach also mentioned that they had an upper hand since the National top scorer for the two consequent editions had stemmed from their team.

“We are extremely fortunate since the top scorer for our determining match yesterday is from our team and she has been very consistent in her play,” Gullit said.

An elated Jane Njeri, who  scored a stunning half dozen goals against Limuru Starlets attributed her success to long time commitment and discipline.

“I am overly excited after achieving this fete for the second time in a row, this tournament has been an eye opener and I believe I have given my best,” the 16 year old added.

The  School administrator, Elsie  Wachira said that they were looking forward to investing in the young girls to ensure they were sufficiently prepared to win the Nationals.

The Chapa Dimba Na Safaricom is an annual tournament that aims to improve lives of young people by giving them a platform to showcase their abilities.

Winners of the National tournament stand a chance to win a million shillings in prize money.
